Northeast U.S.: This is it!
The Coming “Solar Horns” partial solar eclipse is happening this Saturday, March 29, 2025! This will be only a partial eclipse so make sure that you have your eclipse glasses ready. Make sure that you do not look directly at the eclipse without proper eye protection, even though it is only near sunrise! Not even for a microsecond!

Witnessing a solar eclipse is consistently captivating, but on March 29, 2025, when a partial solar eclipse can be observed in the Northern Hemisphere, there will be an additional incentive to take part. In addition to the moon obscuring as much as 94% of the sun, observers will also have the opportunity to view sunspots on the surface of the Sun.. The 12 states where visibility will be established somewhere in these states (in reverse order of movement, because Maine is closest to the center of path) are:
- Maine
- New Hampshire
- Vermont
- Massachusetts
- Rhode Island
- Connecticut
- New York
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Delaware
- Maryland
- District of Columbia
- Virginia
The partial eclipse also will affect the following six Canadian provinces/territories:
- Nunavut
- Ontario
- Québec
- New Brunswick
- Prince Edward Island
- Nova Scotia
- Newfoundland
The partial eclipse also will affect the following other countries:
- The 2 South American countries of French Guinea and Suriname
- All Caribbean/Atlantic islands starting at Puerto Rico going eastward to the , including Bermuda
There will be an almost unnoticeable partial eclipse in most of Europe and northwest Africa.
The statistics are below. . .
