There is a small treat for persons on the other side of the globe, a penumbral lunar eclipse. A penumbral lunar eclipse is barely visible, as the moon loses brightness and intensity, especially on one corner of the Moon. Between the phase of the intense solar eclipse and this lunar eclipse, the Moon is just near one hundred miles away from making it into the umbral area, so no partiality will be experienced today. The umbral magnitude of this eclipse is going to be -0.046, which means the Moon just misses the darker, inner part of Earth’s circular shadow, called the umbra. But a rare one, the penumbral eclipse is going down as the deepest penumbral eclipse until September 2042. Unfortunately it will not be visible anywhere in the Untied States, because it is too close to Hawaii’s twilight. It is focused mostly in the eastern Hemisphere
