The Verbena Purple Homestead Flower, or the Verbena Canadensis is a perennial that is a stunning lower maintenance flower that is yields bright purple to violet hues with flower clusters of usually five chutes, and glossy, deep green foliage. The Verbena Purple Homestead Flower is a versatile flower that is drought-tolerant, resistant to most pests, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds, making them a wonderful addition to any at-home butterfly garden. The Verbena Purple Homestead can grow up to 3 feet wide, making it perfect for a colorful groundcover. They can be added to your garden, in flower beds, on borders, or even hang in containers. Placement in an area where it receives a full 6 to 8 hours per day of sunlight, and water weekly for optimum performance and long term vigor. A well-drained soil broken up the soil using a garden tool and add organic matter, such as manure or compost encourages growth. The Verbena Purple Homestead Flower can be pruned any time during growing season, and is adaptable to most soils.
