Please elaborate on a focus on how the relationship of a rambunctious guy who will do anything at all to procure a relationship, including pole dancing–to get the attention of the woman he runs after, despite a cold shoulder from her. So, Joar wouldn’t be considered a “rambunctious” guy, so I’ll address the question above from the fact that he’s a billionaire…

 

In my newest book, The Hate Date, the MMC is Joar Jacoby, a billionaire media executive who we meet as he’s taking over his ex-college roommate’s business. The two of them had a falling out in college. We also meet the FMC, Clover Callahan, who is the roommate’s ex wife. Joar learns about widespread embezzlement at the company and determines that Clover knew about it and got away with taking all the assets in the divorce – he wants that money back!

 

Clover, on the other hand, has sworn off guys who have power and money after being burned by her ex. When she sees Joar, who unbeknownst to her, is having her followed, she’s smitten. He also has an immediate reaction to Clover. The attraction is undeniable.

 

The dynamic changes considerably after they have a chance encounter that forces them to spend time together…and get busy in the process. Clover learns about Joar’s secretive ways and refuses to be a pawn in his game.

 

Joar, meanwhile, realizes the error in his assessment of Clover and is a thousand percent smitten, and determined to win back her trust.

 

Enter in the “Hate Date,” a strategy Joar devises to get back in Clover’s good graces.

 

Throughout the book, we feel the push-pull of the Clover and Joar dynamic where she’s very cautious and protective of her hears but trying to stay open minded enough to give Joar a chance.

 

Joar finds himself in a state he’s never allowed himself to be in before—no control. As he learns more about Clover and falls deeper and deeper, he’s got to take serious stock of his own baggage and learn how to treat her with the respect she deserves.

 

Overall, Joar and Clover have the type of chemistry that we all dream of!
