Yesterday was the 56th Anniversary of a massive, then an F4 tornado (original Fujita scale) that did devastating damage in the community of Oak Lawn, IL. The tornado left a 16-mile long path of over 200 yards wide and an unfortunate 33 casualties total, and a loss of over 100 homes (including on of my family members), devastating damage to a high school near the close of a school day on that Friday afternoon–and more. I therefore am providing tips and pointers on being prepared!

This happened a couple years before me. But I grew up with a boy who’s grandmother was in her car in Oak Lawn, tornado picked up the car and thankfully she lived. But she dealt with injuries for the rest of her life. Thank you for this.
