Nov 1, 2020 at 2:00 am – Daylight Saving Time Ends

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour tonight at 2 am. You will be one hour early for an appointment tomorrow or Monday by failing to reset them. Also for safety’s sake, make sure that you change batteries on your fire alarms and/or smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

The new law in Illinois obviously didn’t pass either because of COVID-19, or because the government has no priority to do so, despite the studies for depression, etc. The original law was passed by state legislature via Bunker Hill Democrat Andy Manar–needing passing by state Governor J.B. Pritzker, but they needed federal legislature to approve of such, and it didn’t look like the House of Representative did anything except try to impeach the president and also the original first bi=partisan effort for CARES Act in March and April. I could say something, but… It will be interesting to see if they are going to pass it after re-organization of the House. If it is passed, it will create jobs literally in the computer programming industry and also other scheduling businesses, as having a state offset like this will be a transition at the very least and will take some time to factor into commerce. The largest difference is that there are states that do not observe a time change, but they simply don’t honor daylight savings time, not observing daylight savings time year round. I will keep you informed as to the status of these issues as needed.

What we need to do is contact all of our Representatives in the House of Representatives and Senators to voice our opinion of changing the time zone laws. The effects are mostly on the negative side and especially hurts persons with various medical conditions including depression.
