Today’s featured photo of the day! The feature is: Architecture – The Buildings of Chicago, Illinois

Here is today’s featured photo presentation. To let the summer months REALLY shine, I am featuring fine photos of great architecture, so we can continue to honor the brighter side of life this year. Part 3 features the beauty of The Buildings of Chicago, Illinois, continuing to bring up the spirit of the summer! So, I start out with a really great photos of The Merchandise Mart in it’s really great state of renovation where it was under a sandblasting operation in order to keep the beauty of it under wraps. The whole 1980’s was a new beginning, and by the later part of the decade a 10-year, $100 million modernization went underway to modernize the whole building. Nowadays the building is a great mall, venue and office space, with 6.2 million square feet of floor space total, The Merchandise Mart is one example of the great staple, to make Chicago it’s very own! Date – July 1981.
