My prayers go out to all areas involved in Friday’s disaster massive tornado outbreak, April 26th.
In the wrath of the destructive storm system that hit the midwest over this weekend. There were several reports of massive tornadoes throughout Nebraska and other reports from both Oklahoma and Iowa. There are specific reports near Lincoln, Nebraska CIty and near Omaha. The reports are not currently completed. There is a lot of damage reported, but because of great warnings, there have luckily been no death reports to date. My prayers to all affected areas and their families! I am posting a resource guide for all affected areas for use in recovery.
Preliminary Reports:
- 28 confirmed tornadoes; total is not finalized
- Teams with the National Weather Service office in Omaha found damage consistent with an EF-3 tornado with winds of 135 mph to 165 mph.
- There are no confirmed deaths and a speculation of up to 4 fatalities. (The death toll may climb)
- At least 8 persons injured
- In Lancaster County, Nebraska, a tornado was blamed for a train derailment and a semitruck rollover, according to National Weather Service notes on Friday’s vortexes. Omaha police Lt. Neal Bonacci said hundreds of homes were damaged, mostly in the Elkhorn area in the western part of the city.
