Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Red Shrimp Plant
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let the is year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Red Shrimp Plant.
The Red Shrimp Plant or “Red Pine Cone”, or the Justicia Brandegeana is a shrimply shaped orange/red sometimes with white fringed not quite flower, but ought to be. Most Justicias bloom off and on throughout the year, but this one blooms from spring to autumn–and has more red and no white in it and is shaped a little more whirlybird-ish than the regular one. The Red Shrimp Plant grows to a size of 2 tio 3 feet in height. Justicias can take full sun, but do best in part shade.

This is a plant I am not familiar with and wow the color is gorgeous!
These are really pretty and seem like they would make a great splash of color in the empty spots of my flower beds.
