Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Versicolor Harlequin Purple Iris
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let th is year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Versicolor Harlequin Purple Iris.
The Versicolor Harlequin Purple Iris, or the Iris ser. Laevigataes is an Iris that grows to the size of 2 to 2-1/2 feet tall, with its unique sword shaped blue-green clumping leaves, and blooms with a mass of blue lavender to white blooms. This type of Iris is not uncommonly different from others, but they prefer to grow in rich, moist soils and thrives in full sun while it tolerates partial shade. The Versicolor Harlequin Purple Iris can be grown in up to 4 inches of standing fresh water.
