Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Tall Bearded Black Dragon Iris
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let the is year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Tall Bearded Black Dragon Iris.
The Tall Bearded Black Dragon Iris, or the Iris Germanica is an Iris that grows to the size of 36 Inches in height and a width/spread of 18 to 24 inches. All bearded Irises geographic origins are unknown including the Black Dragon, partly because of its use by Muslims on their burial grounds, that it travelled abroad, and that they are believed to have originated from a small area of central and southern Europe and the eastern Mediterranean. The Tall Bearded Black Dragon Iris is a Sun lover, and thrives in well lit areas, and loves a good watering in the summer, despite its ability to make it through a spring drought.
