Surfinia Petunias (razzle dazzle to white pistil)

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let this year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Surfinia Petunias that are razzle dazzle colored to a white pistil area.

The Surfinia Petunia, or the Loropetalum Chinese f. rubrum is a Petunia, an annual in the Solanaceae genus, Petunioideae family that grows to the size of 6 to 12 inches in height, and 1 to 4 feet in width, with a flower that is between an inch in profile with a diameter from 5 to 6 inches. Petunias are generally  available in blue, pink, purple, red, white, yellow. The Petunia loves the sun, and are a great spreader, so great for edging and anywhere flower coverage is wanted.
