Make The Most of Your Donation:
Finding an appropriate charity can take some research. When you make a donation, most people want to make sure that a modest amount of your donation goes to the cause that you support. Everyone who donates means well that the money that they are donating is going to go to a great cause. The first thing that you think is that by donating, that the cause it is donated in the name of is going to benefit by the donation. The fact is, though, that not every “good” cause gets the same amount! It is all construed upon the responsibility equation that the not-for-profit charity uses to get the money to the cause in the cost of the overhead section of the charity. The higher the handling, staff size, amount that they are paying the key officials, and all other types of overhead involved–has a lot to do with how many dollars the cause will see. If you are like me, the closer to one-hundred percent we can get going to cause the better. Worse yet, is the charity even a charity? There are a lot of people out there scamming–looking like a real charity, but not even close! I always check in with the meter to see the responsibility on this website: CharityNavigator.org.

“Pay It Forward” Scams:
Make sure that today does not become the day to be a victim of a schemer! Make sure that you stay clear on the giving and receiving end of “pay it forward” scams. It is very easy to get in the mode of mind-frame to think that it is easy to get something paid forward from someone you do not know, or even be named a winner in a “pay it forward” scheme.

Supporting a cause is a major part of the beauty of this season, including giving–especially with the approach of the holidays. Making the most of getting the donation to go to more cause, and steering clear of the schemers in this holiday season are all so important. Enjoy your holiday season, and always keep your guard up–at all times! Your charity thank you, and Happy Giving Tuesday!!!
