Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day: Surfinia Petunia & Rose Veined Vista Bubblegum Supertunia
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let this year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Surfinia Petunia & Rose Veined Vista Bubblegum Supertunia.
✿ The Surfinia Petunia or the Petunia x surfinia is actually a kind of hanging petunia that bears hundreds of small bell-shaped flowers with a deep purple-magenta hue. It is often used as a cascading flower to cover balconies and deck overhangs. The Surfinia Petunia grows to a height of 6 to 20 inches and a spread of 11 to 15 inches, and a flower size of i-1/2 to 2-1/4 inches in diameter. They bloom starting late spring into the summer months. The Surfinia Petunia grows best in sun or partial Sun and in rather rich, but not too chalky soil.
🌸 The Rose Veined Vista Bubblegum Supertunia or the Petunia hybrid ‘USTUN53402’ are very strongly trailing, with very little height. They will function as spillers in containers, but are also good as front-of-the-bed plants for landscapes, for hanging baskets or window boxes–and have small flowers. They bloom starting late spring into the summer months. The Rose Veined Vista Bubblegum Supertunia has continuous bloom and are heat tolerant, are deadheading and drought tolerant. The Rose Veined Vista Bubblegum Supertunia attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, and grow best in sun in rather rich, but not too chalky soil.
