Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day: Burgundy Novelty Cushion Pom Poms
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let this year shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Burgundy Novelty Cushion Pom Pom.
The Burgundy Orinoco Novelty Cushion Pom Pom, or the Orinoco (in the Pompom family) is a classic daisy bloom with an average of 4-7 flowers per chute. Since the flowers grow to a size of a minimum of 20 inches, so the florists cut the stems to make them smaller than the real outdoor growth length. They are an excellent variation in the spring and summer seasons for florists to have for sale in those seasons because they are long lasting, with disbuds lasting as much as to 10 to 12 days with submersion in water alone. Burgundy Orinoco Novelty Cushion Pom Poms grow to the size of bloom width of 1/2 inch to to 1-1/2 inches in diameter, and grow in most soils to between 20 to 30 inches in sun to partial shade.
