Today’s featured photo of the day! The feature is: Radio
For the month of November, I will be featuring radio transmitters and antennae. Here is today’s featured photo, to commemorate with the industry of radio’s 100th anniversary of invention.. Here is a photo of the then transmitter and antenna of the station WBYG-FM, Kankakee, Illinois whereby the antenna is still located although states “For Sale” and on Google Maps states that it is WBUS-FM at 8850 W. County Line Rd.., Peotone, Illinois, off of Interstate 57. Date – March 1981.
Photo taken with a Nikon EM-through a Nikon 26 mm lens, filter=polarizer, Aperture=22 f/stop, shutter-speed 1/125th second, loaded with Kodak Tri-X Black & White 135 Negative Film ISO (ASA) 400 processed with D-76 Processing Chemicals and a fiber paper print using the Kodak Professional “warm-tone” enlargement paper developed with Kodak Dektol chemicals onto a 3½x5″ matte-gloss print.

These are great pictures. I can’t imagine life without radio!
Love radio, love the photos. I used to live very close to the WCBS-AM transmitter. I had a little transistor radio. Once the batteries were 99% dead and I could STILL pick up WCBS!
