Today’s featured photo of the day! November’s feature is: California

Here is today’s featured photo. For the month of November I am featuring photos of California. As we are getting closer to the end of the month, I shift the focus to Orange County with this scenic view from a northern view of a window in a room at the Disneyland Hotel. A sort of Rayleigh scattering effect has caused a crimson shade on the landscape and a pink hue 180° opposite to the sunset. How stunning! Date – November 1991.

Photo taken with a Nikon FE camera through a Nikon 26 mm lens, filter=polarizer, Aperture=16 f/stop, shutter-speed 1/30th second, loaded with Fujicolor 400 Color 135 Negative Film processed with C-41 Processing Chemicals, and a Type C Print using the RA-4 enlargement paper process, onto a 4X6″ semi-gloss print.

TIP:  Always use a polarizer when taking photos through a window at close range, just in case, and have the direction of the polarizer maxed out on cutting the window reflection. Nothing worse than coming up with a batch of photos whereby they are earmarked with annoying room window reflection interference, and worse yet, not seeing it until it is way too late to do the shoot again.

See you tomorrow with another fine photograph of my favorite state to vacation–California!!
