Today’s featured photo of the day! November’s feature is: California
Here is today’s featured photo. For the month of November I am featuring photos of California. Here is another great shot of the Pacific Ocean from famous scenic route Highway 1 that I was on in my trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The ocean is a most intriguing photographer’s heaven! Date – November 1991.
Photo taken with a Nikon FE camera through a Nikon 26 mm lens, filter=polarizer, Aperture=16 f/stop, shutter-speed 1/125th second, loaded with Fujicolor 400 Color 135 Negative Film processed with C-41 Processing Chemicals, and a Type C Print using the RA-4 enlargement paper process, onto a 4X6″ semi-gloss print.
☼FACT: On sunny days, the ripples in the ocean surface (or lake, pond, etc.) are reflecting sunlight while taking a photo into the sunlight, while aiming the camera away are reflecting shade back into the lens. Still aiming near 90° to the sun reflects almost no reflection and almost matches the base shade of the water. The effect can range your meter reading from +1 f/stop to -1 f/stop depending on the exact angle of the sun. The above photo is away from the sun so it is a darker shade of blue than the base color. ☼
See you tomorrow with another fine photograph of my favorite state to vacation–California!!
