Global Crayola Creativity Week honors the distinctive creative essence of each child and provides parents and educators with a chance to nurture creativity and promote imaginative exploration. By enabling children to express themselves creatively, we assist them in realizing their full potential.

A Week of Color: Throughout this week, we are endorsing Crayola in their collaboration with educators, families, and notable personalities to foster children’s creativity and encourage additional moments of creative expression

Color and Creativity: Creativity plays a vital role in a child’s development, influencing their emotional, mental, and cognitive health. Studies indicate that when parents and educators promote creative expression, they assist children in developing critical thinking abilities and enhancing resilience. Crayola Creativity Week serves as an important occasion to honor the significance of creativity within educational settings, households, and community organizations such as libraries and after-school programs globally.

Celebrated: The final complete week of January is designated as Global Crayola Creativity Week.

Crayola’s Variety of Activities:

Color by Number: How much easier can creativity be? The concept of “color by number” was created by Dan Robbins, a commercial artist at the Palmer Show Card Paint Company in the early 1950’s to sell more paint. He developed the first “Paint by Number” kits under the “Craft Master” brand, letting people paint in color-coded areas on a canvas. This made art easy for those with little experience. Robbins was inspired by childhood coloring and Michelangelo’s teaching methods. Here are some examples:
