Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
The Oxeye Daisy

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2025 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Oxeye Daisy.

The Oxeye Daisy, or the Leucanthemum Vulgare, is a widely recognized flowering plant. This plant is distinguished by its white petals that encircle a vibrant yellow central disc, giving it the appearance of a traditional daisy. The Oxeye Daisy is originally from Europe and temperate regions of Asia, it was brought to North America in the 1800s as an ornamental species. As a perennial plant, Oxeye daisies have a lifespan exceeding two years and can propagate through both seeds and rhizomes (which are underground stems). This species typically thrives in disturbed, open environments such as fields and along roadsides. The Oxeye daisies are frequently linked to the concepts of patience and simplicity.
