A Brief History:
Origination: Corn on the cob has a long history linked to agriculture and food traditions in the Americas. Native Americans grew corn for thousands of years, making it a key part of their diet. The method of eating corn on the cob was common among tribes. European settlers adopted corn cultivation after Columbus brought it to Europe, which eventually led to its global popularity. Sweet corn, developed from field corn, became popular through selective breeding. Today, corn is an important crop around the world and is often enjoyed grilled, boiled, or roasted, with toppings like butter and salt.

Corn on the Cob: Corn on the cob is an ear of sweet corn cooked and typically eaten directly from the cob. It is harvested at the “milk stage” for tender kernels and is a popular summer dish, often grilled or boiled.Preparation includes boiling, grilling, or steaming. Boiling involves cooking the corn in water, sometimes with sugar and lemon juice. Grilling can be done with or without husks for different flavors.
