Most Famous Race of All TIme: The 2006 Daytona 500 holds the record for being the most viewed NASCAR race ever, attracting more than 37 million viewers and nearly 14% of US households tuning in for the finish. By 2023, the average TV audience for the Daytona 500 had surpassed eight million.
