A Brief History:
Origination: In the 1500’s, fruit pies were introduced and became the popular treat. The blueberry pie made its debut in the culinary world when it was first referenced in the New England Farmer publication in 1829. The Appledore Cook Book of 1872 then provided the first documented recipe for this delectable treat. The introduction of blueberry pie to the United States can be attributed to settlers hailing from northern Europe and Scandinavia.

More Recent Origin:  Not much more recent events. . .except pure continual enjoyment of those pies!
