The History:
Origination: Pizza has a long history. The flatbreads with toppings were consumed by the ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. The Italian version was served up with herbs and oil, similar to today’s Focaccia bread. But the modern birthplace of pizza is in the southwestern portion of Italy’s Campania region, now home to the city of Naples. Lagana is a Greek bread, and is very similar to Focaccia. There is even a Chinese version of pizza, The scallion oil pancake also known as a Chinese pizza, is a Chinese, a savory, unleavened flatbread folded with oil and minced green scallions. It is pan-fried which gives it crisp edges yet also a chewy texture.

Pizza Is More Than Savory, It is Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner For Many: Pizzas is already detonated as a any time food. It is a wake-up call for some, a lunch time favorite, a dinner staple for even more, and a midnight snack for that sneak to the fridge. And also a microwave must! Delicious, indeed!

Celebrated: National Pizza Day is celebrated every year on February 9^th.
