My Review:
★★★★★
Deceit by Kathleen Osborne and More

Deceit by Kathleen Osborne and more (245 pages – released November 7, 2023) is a story in the Fiction Anthologies, Literary Anthologies & Collections, Short Stories Anthologies genres, settings being based on various characters.

I loved the compilation of varied authors showcases innovative works that traverse the genres of historical fiction, science fiction, and the increasingly tangible domain of artificial intelligence. The examination of deception within relationships from multiple viewpoints provides a stimulating intellectual experience. Aletta Bee’s “Blame it on Mardi Gras” is particularly notable for its portrayal of cultural subtleties through historical contexts that resonate with contemporary Mardi Gras customs. The narratives delve into themes such as age, race, gender, class, and heritage, crafting vibrant settings and captivating stories. The anthology features rich historical romance, dilemmas of loyalty during World War II, perspectives from animals and AI, Gothic horror, themes of theft, personal development, and elements of fantasy. The collection is further enhanced by robust character development and distinctive storytelling methods, offering a novel interpretation of well-known themes.

The points are:

  • Readability. A book’s continuum of familiar readability is the base layer of my reviewer’s pyramid, and the foundation for great summaries to build up a compilation.
  • Character Depth completed throughout the series.
  • A book great for all seasons. Thrilling
  • All the Points of Structure are Inclusive of:
    1. An introduction at beginning of each segment
    2. Supportive Contexts throughout
    3. Summaries
    4. Critical Analyses
    5. Conclusions
  • Immersion.
  • Plot Intricacies.

I recommend this book to all of my followers, friends and family. Once you start reading this book, you absolutely will not be able to put the book down! Happy reading!

Deceit… Our lives are full of deceit, from the little white lie a person might tell to a lie of omission to the world by its leaders spouting untruths. Deceit can come packaged as protection yet is actually deception meant to harm another. Countries involved in covert to overt manipulation attempts to change their status or political influence are seen every day, revealed by the press, bloggers, social influencers. The thing is, can you trust them ? It’s the little things each of us do that prove out as either intentional, or not–how you can tell the difference?

Kathleen Osborne‘s focus is on Sci-Fi Romance set in the present time and short stories of various genres.

She lives with her husband of 47 years, and they’re four-legged ‘girls’ – Sugar and Gigi – who run the house. Together they have two children – Angella and Joseph, who have five children between them; along with three great-grandchildren .

Kathleen lives at an elevation over 6000 feet in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona. And it has imbibed her with a desire for new recipes geared for high altitude living. She laughingly says, her characters have re-kindled her interest in baking. To quote her, “When a character does something totally out of my plan, and as I am writing, if a solution does come to me… I bake. The need for a recipe means I only have to pay attention to directions, letting my mind regroup. Then when I sit down at my computer and re-read the predicament, a solution presents itself.”

In addition, she founded the group of writers called Transcendent Authors in 2020; together the ten authors have written five books and have another one in the wings, Fate. It will be out on November 2024.
