Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Red Miracle On The Hudson Rose
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is: Red Miracle On The Hudson Rose.
The Red Miracle On The Hudson Rose, or the Rosa x ‘Bartholomew’ of the Rosaceae family are such another great summer sight that just make it right. The Miracle on the Hudson rose, named after the crew and passengers of US Airways Flight 1549, was introduced in 2006. The rose, which was cultivated in 2006, has won several awards, including the “Most Outstanding Rose” award at the 2014 Biltmore International rose trials and multiple Local Artist awards from American Rose Trials for Sustainability. It is a disease-resistant shrub with large, double, bright red flowers that bloom continuously in summer and early fall. The rose has a mild fragrance and new foliage starts out burgundy and turns green as it matures. The transformation occurs as they develop into vibrant orange hips during the autumn and winter seasons. Various bird species and other wildlife eagerly anticipate these delectable treats to sustain themselves throughout the colder months.
