Yesterday was National Pecan Pie Day for 2024! Pecan pies are so delicious–so sweet! Serve up–with or without whipped cream; or, enjoy it with ice cream including your your favorite flavor! Try it with cherries on top for a staple favorite. Just the perfect midnight or anytime snack: Some nice pecan pie. . .

A Brief History:
Origination:  Pecan pie became a symbol of Southern United States culture during the 1940s and 1950s. Pecans are indigenous to the southern United States, and archaeological findings in Texas suggest that Native Americans were utilizing pecans in ancient times over 4,000 years ago.

More Recent Origin:  Not much more recent events. . .except pure continual enjoyment of those pecan pies!

Pecan Pie Go Well With : Whether sweet with whipped cream, ice cream, both or topped with cherries. . .pecan pie hits the spot!.

A Celebration: Recognized each year across the country, a whole day that encourages pecan pie lovers to that special dessert, snack, or even a very special midnight snack.

Celebrated: Celebrated on July 12^th every year!
