STARSPANGLED BANNER

by Francis Scott Key. Released in 1814

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave!

D-Day ! !

Take the time to honor the people in our Armed Forces! Worldwide, the precious gift of freedom was preserved by the actions of our precious soldiers with the Normandy landings! Thank the soldiers. . .for the idea to preserve the world’s freedom. Thank you. . .

A Brief History:
Origination: Although the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, commonly referred to as D-Day, did not bring an immediate end to the war in Europe, it paved the way for the Allies to achieve victory. This significant event marked the beginning of a path that would ultimately lead to the defeat of the enemy forces, albeit after eleven more months of intense conflict. The D-Day invasion stands as the most extensive military operation in history, involving land, air, and sea forces.

Evolution: On the occasion of of an anniversary of D-Day, Presidents, along with fellow global leaders and veterans, gathered to honor the commemoration of the Normandy invasion. This historic event marked the Allied forces’ courageous and unexpected assault, which played a pivotal role in the liberation of Europe from the clutches of Nazi Germany.

Other Meaning of D-Day: The term ‘D-Day’ is commonly used to refer to the initial date of a military operation, with the letter ‘D’ representing ‘day’. This terminology is typically employed when the precise date is classified or still undetermined. There were individuals who mistakenly believed that troops stationed in Italy were evading actual combat in France, dubbing them as ‘D-Day Dodgers’.

Freedom: The Armed Forces protect our country and the world in many ways. So many evil forces are a fact. There are so many needs required for our country, and countries choosing the be free–to remain free. Freedom always costs. . .And the Armed Forces remain the necessary thing that keeps our American freedom alive and the flag standing as representation of that freedom, and to extend that freedom worldwide. Thank every Armed Forces member, without them we could not live in this great country!
