Flanders Poppy
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Flanders Poppy.
The Flanders Poppy, or the Papaver Rhoeas serves as a global emblem of commemoration, drawing inspiration from the abundant presence of orange flowers with a darker hue inside the bugle. The Flanders Poppy were around on the war-torn fields of Belgium and France following the First World War. When planted in gardens, it brings a striking touch of red to casual settings. Its swaying stems adorned with soft, nodding buds, delicate tissue-like petals, and small seed pods resembling pepper shakers offer delight from the months of June all the way until September.
