Every writer has their ritual, that unique concoction of habits and settings that summon the muse. For me, it begins with the sacred brew – not a potion, but something far more powerful: coffee. The ritual is simple yet non-negotiable. Grab a cup of coffee (the first of many), plug into my “One Night” playlist on Amazon Music—a carefully curated soundtrack that captures the essence of each character’s journey—and dive headfirst into the world I’m creating. It’s this blend of caffeine and tunes that sets the stage for a day of writing, providing both the fuel and the ambiance necessary to bring the stories to life.

When it comes to research, you might imagine hours spent poring over old texts or diving deep into historical archives. But in the realm of contemporary romance, research looks a little different. It’s about immersing myself in the genre, understanding its beats, its nuances, and what makes readers’ hearts flutter. It’s about reading—a lot. Meghan Quinn, with her uncanny ability to blend humor with heartache, is my personal romcom guru. Her books are like a masterclass in capturing the complexity of relationships through laughter and tears. Then there’s Lucy Score’s knack for creating characters you wish you could befriend, Abby Jimenez’s talent for weaving stories that feel as real as they are enchanting, and Sophie Lark’s skill in balancing tension and tenderness. These authors, among others, are my research; their works inspire, challenge, and guide me as I strive to create stories that resonate in the same way.

Synopsis:
