Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Sweet William Dianthus Sweet Magenta Bicolor

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the Sweet William Dianthus Sweet Magenta Bicolor.

The Sweet William Dianthus Sweet Magenta Bicolor, or the Dianthus barbatus is a top-notch filler series boasts large, fragrant blooms on strong stems, making it a great choice for commercial use. With no vernalisation required for first-year-flowering, this series allows for year-round production. Additionally, its uniform height, excellent retail holdability, and wide range of bright colors make it a sweet option for growers looking to send quality bouquets to market. The planting density is 4 to 6 plants per 2 square feet and an ideal fit for a filler. The lead crop time is 4 to 5 weeks, and the transplant to finish is the late spring/summer at about age 8 to 9 weeks. This series produces high yields of saleable stems, with taller growth achieved by early Autumn-transplanted, greenhouse-grown plants…
