Holy Week Continues. . .
Good Friday ! ! !
The season of Lent has its final day today—Good Friday. With yesterday’s celebration of The Lord’s (Last) Supper, or Maundy Thursday, now it is the day to celebrate complete sacrifice today with Good Friday in return for the Lord’s sacrifice. Celebrate no color, no ornamentation, for one day. If you noticed, my website has no color today, only neutral shade. The ultimate sacrifice in the name of divine countenance and favor of mankind-His crucifixion. Today also begins Passover. It is a time of reflection and penitence leading up to the Easter Sunday in a few days. And now a prayer:
Good Friday Prayer: “Almighty and everlasting God, You willed that Your Son should bear for us the pains of the cross, that You might remove from us the power of the adversary: Help us to remember and give thanks for our Lord’s Passion that we may obtain remission of sin and redemption from everlasting death; through the same, our Lord Jesus Christ.”
