Today’s featured photo of the day! The feature is: Architecture – Vintage Architecture

Here is today’s featured photo. To let the spring months shine, I am featuring fine photos of great architecture. Part 2 features the beauty of Vintage Architecture, so we can continue to honor the brighter side of life this year. So, here is a fantastically spectacular pearly photo of The Chicago Harbor Lighthouse taken at a 180° angle the horizon-opposite a grandiosely awesome orange sunset! This vintage structure is not only landmark, but a staple for every boater on the south end of the northern breakwater protecting the Chicago Harbor–just to the east of Navy Pier near the mouth of the Chicago River. It was constructed and assembled in 1893 for the World’s Colombian Exposition and then it was moved to the present site in 1919. It is still in operation after all these years, and great preservation assists these structures to be able to endure all the years of wear and tear. How beautiful this featured structure is on the great Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois!

Photo taken with a tripod mounted Nikon FE camera through a Nikon 26 mm lens, filter=Polarizer, Aperture=11 f/stop, shutter-speed 1/2 second, loaded with Konica Fast ISO (ASA) 400 Color 135-20 Negative Film processed with C-41 Processing Chemicals, and a Type C Print using the RA-4 enlargement paper process, onto a 4X6″ semi-gloss print. Date – July – 1981.
