Christ is born!!

Merry Christmas! Today is the day. . .

Matthew 1:18-2:25

¹⁸ Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. ¹⁹ And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. ²⁰ But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. ²¹ She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” ²² All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

²³ “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

²⁴ When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, ²⁵ but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Christ born in a stable is born in me, Christ accepted by shepherds accepts me, Christ receiving the wise men receives me, Christ revealed to the nations be revealed in me, Christ dwelling in Nazareth You dwell in me, Christ, grant that people may look at me and see Your Presence.

Isaiah 7:14: Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Luke 2:1–6: ¹ In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. ² (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) ³ And everyone went to their own town to register.

⁴ So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. ⁵ He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. ⁶ While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
