A Brief History:
Putting the Chocolate on Top of Another Sweet Treat: On this day, dip and drizzle your favorite foods in every kind of chocolate imaginable. If you could cover anything in chocolate, what would it be? Many foods taste better when dipped in chocolate, and some businesses focus on this practice. Celebrate with chocolate-covered fruits, peanuts, cashews, pretzels, pound cake, and gummy candies. Don’t forget chocolate-covered coffee beans. Try dipping your favorite food and invite friends to join you. Chocolate-covered treats also make great gifts.

Origination: National Chocolate Covered Anything Day celebrates the origin of chocolate. People celebrate every day with chocolate, and special occasions like anniversaries, birthdays and a great day, to go alongside. The history of chocolate and its creation from the cocoa bean can be traced from the Xocolatl-loving Olmec, Maya and Aztecs of Mexico dating back to the era of between 1900 BC to 1500 BC. The Maya considered chocolate to be food of the gods, with the cacao tree being held to be sacred. They also buried dignitaries with bowls of chocolate.

Holidays: There are several holidays, especially Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day where giving a heart filled with chocolate covered strawberries or other treats is just dandy with candy! What a way to express the love and affection a relationship means!
More Recent Evolution: Since the Mayan period, the list of ingredients with the relation to most chocolate products has expanded vastly past simple cacao. Companies have reduced the cocoa content to decrease costs related to production and also to increase chocolate’s shelf life, making the once very valuable delicacy to have varying and limitless variety.
The Last Few Centuries: In the late 17th century people began to mix chocolate drinks with milk to make them taste better. The first chocolate factory in America opened in 1765.
More Recently: Today, chocolate is still the very delicious dessert that it has always attained from back in the old days every year. Every year, countless companies come out with a new variation, and present companies introduce different renditions and even “limited edition” variations of the recipes used to produce chocolate products. More and more renditions and recipes have arisen in more recent years. The microwave had given more opportunities and different styles, especially after inventing the cup-shaped round and square microwavable light grey surfaces that refract the microwave to ensure more even cooking.
