Russian Sage

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2025 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is Russian Sage.

Russian Sage, or the Salvia Yangii, is a hardy, low-maintenance shrub with silver-gray leaves and lavender-blue flowers. Native to Central Asia and the Himalayas, it tolerates drought and grows well in sunny, well-drained areas. Its flowers attract pollinators and bloom from late spring to autumn. Despite its name, its leaves are not for cooking.

• Width : 3 to 4′ (91 – 122 cm)
• Exposure : Full Sun (6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day)
