A Brief History on Ice Cream Cone:
Founded By: The history of the ice cream cone involves multiple claims of invention by different individuals. Italo Marchiony, an Italian-American ice cream salesman, applied for a patent in 1903 for a machine that rolled warm waffles into cone shapes. Ernest A. Hamwi, a Syrian concessionaire at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, is credited with introducing a similar waffle cone when he rolled a zalabi pastry into a cone shape to serve ice cream. Antonio Valvona, an Italian entrepreneur, patented a machine for baking biscuit cups for ice cream in 1902. Agnes B. Marshall, an English cook, included a recipe for “Cornet with Cream” in her 1888 book. Julien Archambault, a French author, mentioned edible cones in a cookbook from 1825, and Charles Elmé Francatelli, an Italian British cook, described ice cream cones in his 1846 book.

Which Is Superior, Ice Cream Served in a Cone Or in a Cup?: We have a fundamental disagreement regarding ice cream presentation. Many prefer it in a cone, while many also prefer it in a cup. But the largest difference is the ability to lick a cone. Despite this, we can agree that the quantity of ice cream remains the same regardless of the container. The cone not only serves as a vessel but is also edible, providing a fuller eating experience. Additionally, cones are more environmentally friendly than cups made from plastic. While some places charge extra for waffle cones, a standard sugar cone can be just as enjoyable. In some countries, ice cream prices are much lower than in the United States. Finally, bubble cones offer a unique and charming alternative to traditional cones without the added cost.

Advantages to Cones: One of the most apparent advantages is that a cup can hold ice cream without creating a mess. This feature is especially beneficial when adding toppings to a scoop of your preferred organic ice cream flavor. Regarding scoops, there is a common misconception that a cup provides more ice cream; however, this is not accurate, though it is worth noting. Cups tend to be less messy and do not impose a time constraint like cones do. Consequently, there is no need to hurry to consume it on a warm summer day; instead, it can melt in the cup and be enjoyed as a sort of milkshake. This results in reduced waste and enhanced flavor, which certainly constitutes a favorable combination.

A Few Facts:
I am sharing a few facts, and more, some trivia, some not trivial. . .

How Many? The average American consumes approximately 20.8 liters of ice cream and related frozen desserts per year, with ice cream cones being the variable, but stable majority of the type of ice cream consumed.
