The History:
Pizza Origination: Pizza has a long history, and cheese pizza is where it all started. The flatbreads with toppings were consumed by the ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. The Italian version was served up with herbs and oil, similar to today’s Focaccia bread. But the modern birthplace of pizza is in the southwestern portion of Italy’s Campania region, now home to the city of Naples. Lagana is a Greek bread, and is very similar to Focaccia.

How Did it Go Pepperoni: The earliest known reference to pepperoni dates back to 1919 in New York City. It started to show up in various Italian delis and pizzerias throughout Lower Manhattan. During that period, pepperoni was viewed as a traditional Italian delicacy.

Pepperoni Pizza Is More Than Savory, It is Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner For Many: Pizzas are already detonated as a any time food, and pepperoni pizza is no exception. It is a wake-up call for some, a lunch time favorite, a dinner staple for even more, and a midnight snack for that sneak to the fridge. And also a microwave must! Delicious, indeed!
