Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2025 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the The Crepe Myrtle Tree.
The Crepe Myrtle Tree, or the Lagerstroemia Indica, are deciduous plants known for their colorful flowers and smooth, peeling bark. They bloom from summer and thrive in hot, sunny areas. Key features include large, wrinkled flowers, oval dark green leaves that change colors in fall, and medium to fast growth. They prefer full sun and well-drained soil, with over 50 varieties. Common uses include landscaping and street planting. Potential issues include powdery mildew and aphids.
