Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2025 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is the The Narrow-leaved Purple Coneflower.

The Narrow-leaved Purple Coneflower, or the Echinacea Purpurea, is a herbaceous perennial from the daisy family that grows 3 to 4 feet tall and has pinkish-purple flowers with an orange-tinged center. It is native to North America, especially in the central and eastern U. S. It is commonly used in gardens, attracts pollinators, and was historically used by Native Americans for medicine. It thrives in well-drained, moist loam but adapts to different soil and is drought-tolerant when established…

• Height : 12 to 24″ (30 – 61 cm)
• Width : 12 to 18″ (30 – 46 cm)
• Exposure : Full Sun but can tolerate partial shade
