A Brief History:
Origination: The initial computer was created in the 1940s, and it was not until the late 1990s that streaming services became widely available. Since that time, there have been significant technological advancements, allowing for the streaming of nearly any content. Fortunately, the popularity of streaming drives further improvements in speed and accessibility. As technology evolves, so too must our ability to meet the demands of our streaming preferences.

You Will Wave Goodbye to the Local Cable Truck:  After I used streaming for less than a month, I was ready to say goodbye forever. It took some getting used to, but after that month, I found streaming services to have thousands, if not millions of different and way more options than any cable provider could offer. And the price–I need say no more!! Bye-bye, I guess that means no more cable guy!

Some DIfferent Options for Hardware to Streaming: In contemporary society, the majority of individuals utilize various streaming devices. It is not surprising that a wide array of streaming devices exists. The selection of a streaming device frequently depends on individual preferences. The most widely used streaming devices include: Roku Stick 4K Plus, Chromecast, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV. More information is in this article:

Happy Cut The Cord Day – 2025

What Do You Miss with Cable: When switching from cable to streaming, people often miss live TV, including local channels, sports, and events. Streaming lacks the easy navigation of cable and can offer inconsistent viewing experiences. Cable includes local channels for free news and community programming, while streaming may require extra subscriptions. Sports coverage is often less comprehensive, and some find streaming menus harder to use. Not all services provide consistent closed captioning, and live TV features differ from cable.

Even More Channels: I was flabbergasted at the amount of channels, programming, on-demand options, being able to watch and comeback directly where I left off. The list is so long. . .I think it is over a million different options! Note, every services options are not universal, but with experience, it is possible to learn to navigate. If I can do it, anyone can!!

Celebrated: National Streaming Day is celebrated on May 20th every year since 2014!
