Textile Process:
Textile processing is the method of turning fibers into finished textile products with several steps: fiber production, yarn production, fabric creation, and finishing treatments. These steps can be divided into physical and chemical treatments. Physical processes include spinning, weaving, knitting, and non-woven methods, while chemical processes cover pretreatments, dyeing, printing, and finishing:

  1. Fiber Production: This first step involves collecting and preparing raw fibers, which can be natural like cotton and wool, or synthetic like polyester and nylon.
  2. Yarn Production: Fibers are spun into yarns using carding, combing, drawing, and spinning.
  3. Fabric Creation: Yarns are woven, knitted, or formed using non-woven techniques to make fabric.
  4. Pretreatment: Fabrics are prepared through processes like singeing, desizing, scouring, and bleaching.
  5. Dyeing and Printing: Fabrics are dyed and printed to create colors and designs.
  6. Finishing Treatments: Treatments improve the fabric’s look, feel, and performance.
  7. Manufacturing, Transport, Sales, and Retail: Lastly, finished textiles are made into products and distributed.
