Happy Good Friday!

Holy Week Continues. . .

Today is Good Friday for 2025. Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross.

“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross.” This apostle Peter has Isaiah 53 and the sin offering in mind when he writes, “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24).

Good Friday ! ! !

The season of Lent has its final day today—Good Friday. With yesterday’s celebration of The Lord’s (Last) Supper, or Maundy Thursday, now it is the day to celebrate complete sacrifice today with Good Friday in return for the Lord’s sacrifice. The alter is stripped of all adornments. Celebrate no color, no ornamentation, for one day. If you noticed, my website has no color today, only neutral shade. The ultimate sacrifice in the name of divine countenance and favor of mankind-His crucifixion. It is a time of reflection and penitence leading up to the Easter Sunday in a few days. And now a prayer:
Good Friday Prayer: “O Almighty and eternal God, You ordained that Your Son should endure the sufferings of the cross on our behalf, thereby liberating us from the grasp of the enemy. Assist us in remembering and expressing gratitude for our Lord’s Passion, so that we may receive forgiveness for our sins and be redeemed from eternal death; through the same, our Lord Jesus Christ.”
