The History:
Origin: Crab meat’s origin goes back to n a cave located in Portugal adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean, it is suggested that Neanderthals incorporated brown crabs as a staple in their diet. Archaeological findings indicate that these early humans were preparing and consuming crab meat at least 5,000 years ago, as reported in a study released on Tuesday in Frontiers in Environmental Archaeology.

What is Crab Meat? Crab meat has a great following! With 1.5 million tons of crab consumed every year around the world, plenty of crab meat lovers celebrate every year. The consumption of these crustaceans can be approached in various manners. Boiling crab, whether it involves the legs or the entire animal, presents a culinary experience that demands some effort from the consumer. Nevertheless, each delectable bite justifies the exertion. The meat can also be combined with other components to produce dips, cakes, or soups.
Great Nutrition & More: Crab meat is considered a nutritious option; however, the addition of butter significantly increases both the fat content and caloric value. There exists a vast array of crab species, yet only a select few are suitable for consumption. In the United States, among the most favored and flavorful varieties are the blue crab, stone crab, Dungeness crab, king crab, and rock or snow crabs. These crabs are available in both hard and soft shells and can be located along all coastal regions, including Hawaii.
