Merry Christmas! Today is the day! . . .

Luke 2:11–12

¹¹ For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. ¹² And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

The birth of our savior on Earth, Christ Jesus in Bethlehem on that silent night with the glowing Star of David And now a prayer:

Dear God,
Christ born in a stable is born in me, Christ accepted by shepherds accepts me, Christ receiving the wise men receives me, Christ revealed to the nations be revealed in me, Christ dwelling in Nazareth You dwell in me, Christ, grant that people may look at me and see Your Presence.

Luke 2:1–6: ¹ In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. ² (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) ³ And everyone went to their own town to register.

⁴ So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. ⁵ He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. ⁶ While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
