Avoiding Ebenezer: At times, even the most cheerful individuals may find themselves affected by the humbug of the season. Nevertheless, it is crucial to keep in mind those who are most impacted by it. We should strive to share joy with them and infuse their lives with the holiday spirit. This day serves as an opportunity to voice our frustrations, allowing the Scrooge within us to emerge. Whether we express this through a few humbugs or by steering clear of crowded places, the day provides a respite from the frenetic pace that characterizes this time of year.
Stressful Times: This time of year can be particularly stressful for various reasons. Some individuals may experience feelings of loneliness, while others might feel overwhelmed by the pressure to accomplish more than is realistically feasible. Additionally, we often impose excessively high expectations upon ourselves. Consequently, the burdens associated with the holiday season accumulate, leading to a sense of discontent reminiscent of Scrooge.
The Aura: Humbug Day is a day that presents a remarkable opportunity to reflect on our tendencies towards frugality while also assessing our expectations. It may be beneficial to consider simplifying this holiday season and alleviating some of our burdens. In doing so, we may discover a path to rejuvenate our happiness and share it with others.

Notably, after Scrooge’s encounter with Marley’s ghost, he never again employs the term “humbug.”
