Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Green Sedum (Creeping)

Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is: Green Sedum (Creeping).

The Green Sedum (Creeping), or the Sedum praealtum of the Crassulaceae family are such a mellow summer sight that just make it right. With its green color, the Green Sedum has blossoms that cluster, and is a versatile and durable succulent plant that comes in various sizes, colors, and shapes.  These plants are great for mixed borders, rock gardens, slopes, mass plantings, and curbside strips, and they bloom from early summer to fall. Sedums are hardy in USDA zones 3 to 11 and thrive in well-drained soil under full sun, tolerating poor soil and dry conditions. When planting, ensure the soil is loose and well-draining, and space plants accordingly. Sedums do not require much water and should only be watered during prolonged dry spells. Additionally, they do not need fertilizer and can be pruned for compact growth. Overall, sedums are easy to care for and offer long-lasting color and interest in the garden.

Green Sedum:
