Today’s Featured Flower Photo of the Day:
Hardy ‘Sherwood’ Geranium
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is: Hardy ‘Sherwood’ Geranium.
The Hardy ‘Sherwood’ Geranium, or the Geranium × Oxonianum f. Thurstonianum ‘Sherwood’ of the Geraniaceae family are such another great summer sight that just make it right. The Hardy ‘Sherwood’ Geranium, sometimes referred to as the Oxford Geranium, presents a profusion of striking and delicate blooms. Its fresh pink flowers resemble five-pointed stars, featuring a white center embellished with a small crown of five scarf-shaped petals. This plant also serves as an exceptional ground cover, exhibiting remarkable vigor and continuously renewing its unique flowering from May to September, all while showcasing attractive bluish-green evergreen foliage. Thriving on summer rainwater, it is a resilient and adaptable species that flourishes in full sunlight, whether planted in a garden or in a container.
