Mary Todd Daylily
Here is today’s featured photo flower presentation. To let 2024 shine bright, I am featuring fine photos of flowers, continuing to honor the brighter side of life again this year. Today’s Flower of the day is: Mary Todd Daylily.
The Mary Todd Daylily, or the Hemerocallis ‘Mary Todd’ of the Asphodel family are such a great summer sight that just make it right. Mary Todd Daylily showcases striking lemon yellow trumpet-shaped blooms that appear at the tips of the stems from late spring to early summer. These flowers are ideal for arrangements. The grassy foliage retains its vibrant green hue throughout the entire season:

Flowers are medium: Large, 6 inch sized flowers, that attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds:
- Spacing : 18 inches (45cm – 46cm)
- Height : 32 inches (81cm – 82cm)
- Width : 24 inches (60cm – 61cm)
- Exposure : Full Sun but can tolerate minimal partial shade
