The Japanese Tree Lilacs, or the Syringa Reticulata of the Oleaceae family are such a great Spring to summer sight that just make it right. The Japanese Tree Lilac is renowned for its exquisite clusters of fragrant, cream-hued blossoms that emerge each spring, creating a delightful aroma for passersby. For those who appreciate lilacs and wish to incorporate a lilac tree into their garden, whether as a substitute for or alongside a shrub, this guide is tailored for you. This particular species promises to be a striking and relatively low-maintenance enhancement to your landscape:
Japanese Tree Lilacs:
Flowers are medium: Large, upright panicles to 12” long blooms that attract bees:
- Spacing : At least 6 feet apart ( >182cm)
- Height : 20 to 30 feet (609cm – 915cm)
- Width : 15 to 25 feet (457cm – 762cm)
- Exposure : Full Sun but can tolerate partial shade
